"We were at Cathy’s first Couple’s weekend in 2009 and had a wonderful time. Due to a variety of conflicts, we took a few years off but were glad the 2014 event worked into our schedule. There have been a significant number of upgrades over the years. First, the dance instruction continues to be top notch. Cathy has the skill to effectively teach a group with a wide variety of abilities so that everyone gets something from the lessons. We dance socially almost every weekend and have been able to use much of what we learned in our regular dancing. The weekend included a very well done video which was ready by the Saturday evening dance. Another upgrade was a beautiful, new, large floor. It was also pretty obvious that Green Lake Conference Center is well versed in handling large high quality events as the food was very good and even though you ate in dining hall they were able to make it feel like a nice restaurant. Finally, Cathy’s assistant (and husband) Frank was another welcome addition which greatly improved the demonstrations and added a lot of fun. If you are looking for a nice weekend to dance with your partner and spend time with others who enjoy ballroom dancing, Cathy’s Couple’s weekend is a great choice."
